The company’s investment policy comprises funding the modernization of the manufacturing equipment and technologies as well as investments in environmental protection.

As one of the major Bulgarian producers in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy we are well aware of our responsibility and we work upon accomplishment of effective solutions to protect the environment and human health.

Implemented is an environmental management system in compliance with all ISO 14001:2004 standards. The system provides a strategic framework in accordance with the specific manufacturing conditions.

ALCOMET also holds an Integrated Pollution Prevention Control Licensing.

Each shop in ALCOMET is equipped with a separate discharge treatment plant where effluent is treated. An independent treatment section for household waste is also present. Daily inspection of the discharge is taking place in each station to make sure that it complies with Environmental Agency regulations.

Likewise atmosphere emissions are also treated in filter stations where necessary. All atmospheric emissions are also put to a daily analysis at each exhaust point.

The preliminary research carried out when implementing new technologies also includes environmental impact assessment.
